Let an agent fetch the latest posts of any site as clean JSON: title, link, date, summary.

Marketers and researchers

Check if competitors or sources publish a feed and how fresh it is.

# Tools: find_feeds, latest_posts
# e.g. find_feeds({"sites":["github.blog"],"max_items_per_feed":3})
  • find_feeds
Find the RSS, Atom and JSON feeds a website publishes (validated by downloading and parsing each one), with feed title, type, last post date, post count and the newest posts. Use when you need a feed URL for a site or want to know if a site has a feed. Up to 5 sites per call.
  • latest_posts
Get the newest posts of one website from its main feed: title, URL, published date, author, plain-text summary (max 300 chars), categories and image. Use to catch up on a blog, news site, subreddit, YouTube channel or GitHub releases without scraping pages.

FAQ

Why not just try example.com/feed?

Many sites use other paths (/rss.xml, /atom.xml, /index.xml, /feeds/posts/default), hide feeds behind link tags, or return an HTML page with status 200 at /feed. Feedpeck downloads and parses every candidate, so you only get real feeds.

Which feed formats are supported?

RSS 2.0, RSS 0.9x, RSS 1.0 (RDF), Atom and JSON Feed, all returned in one schema.

Does it work for Reddit, Medium, YouTube and GitHub?

Yes. Pass reddit.com/r/<name>, medium.com/@<user>, youtube.com/channel/<id> or github.com/<owner>/<repo> and Feedpeck returns the matching feed.

What if a site has no feed?

You get one row with status "no-feed" and how many candidates were checked, so you know it was really looked for.

Can I check hundreds of sites or get alerts for new posts?

The free API is for up to 5 sites per call. A bulk and scheduled version with a new-posts-only monitor mode is coming to the Apify Store.

Is there a key or a cost?

The free tier needs no key: 50 calls a day and 20 a minute per IP. For more, an API key costs $9/month for 3,000 calls or $29/month for 15,000 (yearly billing gives 2 months free), or $5 once for 1,000 calls that never expire (see Get an API key); send it as the x-api-key header. Failed calls are not counted.
